Specification Quality Checklist: CI/CD-Integrated Data Migration Framework
Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-07-26 Feature: spec.md
Content Quality
- [x] No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs)
- [x] Focused on user value and business needs
- [x] Written for non-technical stakeholders
- [x] All mandatory sections completed
Requirement Completeness
- [x] No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
- [x] Requirements are testable and unambiguous
- [x] Success criteria are measurable
- [x] Success criteria are technology-agnostic (no implementation details)
- [x] All acceptance scenarios are defined
- [x] Edge cases are identified
- [x] Scope is clearly bounded
- [x] Dependencies and assumptions identified
Feature Readiness
- [x] All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
- [x] User scenarios cover primary flows
- [x] Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
- [x] No implementation details leak into specification
Notes
- All prior design decisions were already settled through an interactive design discussion before this spec was written (trigger points, chain/ordering model, schema-state precondition semantics, failure/rollback semantics, API-migration gating) — hence zero
[NEEDS CLARIFICATION]markers. - Terminology was deliberately kept implementation-agnostic per Content Quality: "declares an explicit reference to a predecessor" (not "down_revision attribute"), "minimum required schema state" (not "alembic_revision reachability via ScriptDirectory"), "isolated unit such that failure leaves no partial writes" (not "wrapped in a SQLAlchemy transaction"). The concrete technical mechanisms for these are a
/speckit-planconcern, not aspec.mdconcern. - The specific arXiv-ID data-cleanup migration that motivated this work is explicitly out of scope (see Assumptions) — it is separate follow-on work once this framework exists.
